Say goodbye to Scnlog.eu

Calendar November 17th, 2016  Hour 7:50  Category Site News

Well not quite... Scnlog.eu is getting a complete overhaul and will start tomorrow from scratch with an empty database. Don't worry, old Scnlog.eu will still be available here but no longer updated. But the really big change will be to the "supporting" model at which the site operates from the very start. Basically the site pays itself by offering links to scene releases through some cyberlockers which in turn offer extremely slow downloads speeds unless you become premium by paying a sum, and around 50%-70% of that sum goes to the uploader (supposedly). Also there are the ads and the ever annoying popups/popunders which became a necessity after Google wiped Scnlog.eu from its search results in 2014. Well that's no more.

Starting now, Scnlog.eu v2 will have paying subscriber plans which will allow you to see the download links on the site. Ok, before you close your browser tab or start insulting me in the comments let me explain more precisely what's going to change:

No ads or popups
Better section categorization including Music genres
Faster site navigation
Multiple super-fast filehosts which doesn't require premium account (list not final, others will be added):
- Uptobox.com (1GB Test File)
- Filecloud.io (1GB Test File)
- Nitroflare.com (only because many users still have premium from them)

And some other filehosts are offered through Go4up.com:
- 1fichier.com (1GB Test File)
- ClicknUpload.com (1GB Test File)
- Free.fr (1GB Test File)
- Openload.co (1GB Test File)
- Tusfiles.net (1GB Test File)
- Uploadrocket.net (1GB Test File)
- Uploaded.net (same as Nitroflare)

When Scnlog.eu v2 goes live, links will be available for all users for some days. You will have then the chance to subscribe to one of the following plans:

1-Day Trial - 0.99 EUR
1-Month - 3.99 EUR
3-Month - 9.99 EUR

These subscription plans will be the only income available for server's costs and other minor expenses. So the future of this site will pretty much depend on how much plans are sold monthly - or I could go back to ads, popups and slow filehosts. Remember that it was never intended to generate profit but only to generate enough income for the site to pay for itself.

Let me know what you think in the comments below. Be polite and give your honest opinion. If you don't like the changes just say so, no need for insulting. I have feelings too. :P

This is not encouraging news to me. I am already finding my collection habit annoyingly expensive as it is without adding a required subscription to see your links. While I appreciate your organization and non-repacked Scene releases, I would not be inclined to join at your current price point.

Free knowledge must still be free. Ask for donations or your website will get desertified in few weeks. Many young people can’t afford this cost and personally i don’t like the idea to pay 10 eur every 3 months, only to try some software. There are plenty of free forums with same content out there and be sure people coming here until now, will migrate there.
If you want to make people paying to download then do that with XXX content only… let other sections free.
Anyway, thank you for your efforts.

  • Krypton says:

At least include music-sorting by genres (house, trance, dance etc.) and not put all files together in ˝just released˝ list.

  • RandallFlag says:

If it happens i will simply move to other sources. Not fussed about popups or slow filehosts, so long as a dl can start and finish

I agree with limiting xxx or music to subscribers

By the way, openload may be fast but it’s crap now because they force some downloads to start and finish at 30mb regardless of the real size

  • Wilkins says:

  • wu says:

In a sea of repacked stuff I find this sites true scene releases great and also got no problems with the site as it is today with ads etc. because I know that’s to be expected in todays world.

  • Tales says:

No way I´m going to pay for links , I don’t mind ads but paying for something I can get for free somewhere else… sorry i´m out

  • stupid af says:

    stupidest move ever!
your contents are not unique, we all can get releases from other sources

  • Name says:

Slow downloads and ads are no problem m8, please reconsider aforementioned changes.
PAYING FOR WAREZ is a HUGE SHOW STOPPER.
Soon after you go to a pay to a play system you will be obliterated by DDoS attacks, hacks and feds.
The scene has the heaviest of the heavies when it comes to bot nets and they do not take p2p http sites lightly.

Why no rapidgator file hosting? I’m sure there are many rapidgator sunscribers.

  • Krypton says:

I will pay for the links only if you provide uploaded.net links.

  • Pattycake7000 says:

Yes. If you would allow the sorting of music genres as well, I would pay the membership fee.

  • esemkakru says:

It’s not enough money for the 3-months period, so I’m going to test it.

  • cheekymonkey says:

    You’re correct 11. Name

As soon as you make money and they cannot make any tax off it they come after you, the same way with prostitution
all because they cannot get tax off it “illegal” manes not taxable so we won’t allow you to do it “legal” means you can do it as long as we get the Tax off it.
I am a Usenet user myself for the last 13 years or so.

  • JCEL says:

I don’t think it’s such a bad idea. Mainly if you can promise all the good features and we don’t have to pay for the filehosts but also make sure they don’t get deleted. Then I think i would go ahead and give a try. And yes music genre by sections would be great.

  • Thank you for these years says:

Not good news and seeing as I have access to plenty of other sources for scene content at least I won’t be subscribing.

That being said I would like to thank you for the excellent service that you have been providing for all these years!
I have thoroughly appreciated the clean and functional website together with the vast amount of untouched scene content.
As I only downloaded the occasional small file here and there I did not mind the ads and slow download speeds.

I have been around the game for a long time and throughout the years most sites that I have seen go down the P2L road unfortunetly have perished.

In the end I however trust that you are doing what is best for the site and if you feel like this movie is necessary in order to pay for the operation costs I wish you the best of luck!

No thing is free forever. i knew that. Free things on internet are becoming more difficult to get these days, don’t you?. This was the last site that offered warez in the best way possible. Its sad you must move this site to a payed model. AnywayThank you for leting me enjoying downloading many useful programs and beautiful games. Thank you and good luck!.

  • NuKe says:

I’m going to try it out since this is all I use for my downloading needs. I already pay for a nitroflare account so I don’t mind paying less to you instead. So please keep nitroflare in the host list.

  • just me says:

    No ;-)

I like it the way it is… just make sure you have a mix of uploadservers like now :-)

  • Rockford says:

    Farewell Scnlog.eu

  • mamaobama says:

You’re just another greedy bastard ;) You can run a shitty website like this one on your box in your living room – so what costs are you talking about? You’re not running a fucking Facebook, you dumbass. You’re stealing software, not even that – you’re actually just aggregating it, uploading it which will still give you profit – but that’s not enough for you so you decided to spin this bullshit story? Dude :) I expected more from you. This is pathetic. I know you’d like some dough so you’re trying to pass this sob story for truth – but just wait and see how many idiots will actually pay for something they can find free elsewhere.

You were running a solid site and now you just got greedy. A typical jerk.
Fuck you and fuck your 10 euro, you pathetic fucktard.

  • knives says:

How about starting a PayFTP instead?

That way people pay you instead of forking out for a premium account on uploaded/nitroflare or whatever?

    Just a thought/

  • iamout says:

Thanks for everything and good luck. :)

  • goodbye says:

It was fun while it lasted. Thanks for it. Time to delete the bookmark…

  • goodbye says:

One last thing: if I was ok with paying for stolen/pirated stuff (both for the links *and* for a “premium” file host) then I’d sooner pay for usenet! It doesn’t provide anywhere near this much value… This place will be dead soon, sorry.

  • Hede Hodo says:

Well, most of the people writing before me already told what think.

I don’t support this move and I think it is a wrong move. I don’t think you will succeed.

If you change your mind, say “nevermind”, and decide to go back, I will continue coming. Otherwise, goodbye to you too. It was damn fine while it lasted.

Such a shame it had to end this way really…

  • Frogger says:

    bring MUKKI back!

  • duderino says:

you gonna basicaly double charge your users from now on, since you make them pay for the links then you gonna have income from the sites your links forward/affiliate to after the traffic you generate for them
    not cool, not cool
i don’t mind clicking through a couple ads for you here, but definitely not gonna cover anybodys monthly server costs and profit margin
warez was never about donations and handouts, u should know this already since many years you living it off what the scene released for your convenience
if you cannot cover the costs which comes with this venture by yourself, maybe you should quit already
if you doing this for the sole purpose of making you petty cash then you definitely should quit

  • DubstepTrap says:

I only download the latest electronic music WEB releases. I’m fine with pop-ups. ads, etc. Maybe it’s worth paying, if someone downloads other stuff, but not for me.

  • gobo gobo says:

Guys, could you please share the other release websites that you visit everyday? Please, pretty please…?

It is incredibly easy to find day to day movie, TV shows, and game releases, but I am kinda running out of options for software; both PC and Mac. There are some sites, but they are not close followers of daily releases and their posts lack the cleanliness/tidiness of original releases.

If this guy is a true trooper, a righteous dude as he says he is, and he just wants a subscriber model just to cover the server costs as he claims, he won’t take down the comments containing other release website links. Otherwise, it would clearly be a sign of him doing this change out of greed, right?

  • goodbye says:

gobo: rlslog.eu has everything this site has basically (somewhat better classified), without having to pay for it… I’m sure there’s plenty more.
